Headlight Competition Winners |
| Congratulations to four of our Year 9 boys - Daniel Mearon, Harry Huggins, William Clay and Liam Skelcher - who, as Team Velocity, entered the Institute of Motor Industry’s “Headlight Competition” and were winners of the logo part of the contest. The students designed a logo and their prize was presented at the UK Skills Paint Finals in Stevenage where they saw their logo being painted onto the bonnet of a car.
Mrs Hobbs, Head of Business Education, said “I’m extremely proud of the four teams from The Woodlands that took the time to enter the competition and especially the winning team. The students successfully transferred the knowledge they gained in the classroom to an industrial environment and beat a number of other schools to the prize. I think they enjoyed the challenge and we hope to enter it again next year.” |
