| ART AND GRAPHICS CURRICULUM |
Year 7 and 8 Objectives |
 |
The department aims to encourage students to work in both 2D and 3D, to experiment with colour and pattern together with a variety of media. Each student will study special awareness through drawing as a means of expression, which will be linked with the work of others and art history. Tests are held every term, each covering still life, composition work and graphics. During the course of the year one history of art starting point is common to all groups. Teacher assessment is carried out as part of a continuous process and individual attainment is recorded. Discussion should, wherever possible, take place with the student so that he understands what we are striving to assess. |
