Support for our students |
|
| In addition to the support given to the student by their House staff, our Student Support Centre includes particular targeted support for/from Special Educational Needs (SEN), English as an additional language, Looked After Children, Child Protection, Education Welfare, supported self-study, learning enhancement, internal exclusion and behaviour support, and many external agencies are involved in liaison with the experienced staff that work in The Centre.
The dedicated SEN literacy lessons in Years 7 to 10 are built around the individual needs of the students in each year group. The aim is to enable students to access other areas of the curriculum by improving their literacy skills, teaching study skills and giving support with GCSE coursework. |
