  Introduction News & Events Curriculum  
 
In Years 7 and 8 the students follow the National Curriculum program of study. Over the next year we are looking at how the scheme of will evolve to accommodate functional skills. This will be trialled in 2008 in readiness for a full implementation in 2010.
In Years 9 and 10 we currently offer the AQA GCSE in ICT specification B. There is a widening array of certificates available in ICT which we will look at in readiness for the start of the new GCSE’s
In Year 11 we offer an opportunity to re submit coursework for students who failed to achieve a grade C in year 10. For those who gained a grade C or above we offer the CLAIT certificate in ICT. In addition we offer a range of short courses in web design, computer games and robotics. These short courses are subject to change if there is demand.
Year 12 and 13 students can opt from the traditional ‘A’ level courses of ICT or Computing. There is also an offer of the Applied ICT course with either single or double award. These courses are run in conjunction with the West Coventry Sixth Form and run subject to sufficient numbers.
